What are Noodle Soups?
In Asian culture, soup noodles are the perfect one-dish meal due to their refreshing broths, delicious seasonings, and whatever you like to add in the way of meat, fish, tofu, or vegetables as toppings. They can be found all over China, often eaten at lunchtime in a small restaurant near people’s workplaces. In these restaurants, fresh wheat or rice noodles are the most common, while some specialized shops offer buckwheat noodles that are made from scratch on the spot. Dry noodles are what you would typically cook at home, almost invariably served with broth. There are also these so called Longevity Noodles, which is widely considered a traditional birthday food across all the provinces in China.
